An HDMI Matrix will allow you to connect multiple HDMI devices to the Matrix input, and send out HDMI outputs to a TV or other display unit. It will allow you to have the same video mirrored on all displays, or you can send different video to each display. You can select this input functionality directly from the HDMI matrix box, or by using the remote control. This distributed video model will save you time and money and will consolidate and hide all those messy cables and equipment normally surrounding your TV's.
Using an HMDI Switch or Splitter is a great way to take the signal from one device such as a cable box or Blu-ray player and share it on multiple screens. A splitter would be used to take only one signal and split it to show on from two to up to sixteen TV’s. A switch would be used to have multiple devices connected, and a switch would give the capability to switch between which signal devices to send to the one TV connected.
These different HDMI Infra-Red Extenders allow you to extend the IR signal through HDMI® cable to a separate location. These extenders work with each other to send the remote signal from one room to the other. Also in this section are HDMI repeaters which will allow you to extend the signal strength of your HDMI cable over longer distances.
