Quickly and easily convert and extend your local area network with a RJ45 Ethernet handoff to fiber and then back to a RJ45 Ethernet connection.
Quickly and easily extend your local area network with our QuickTreX® Network Extension Kit. This network extension kit has everything you need to extend your local area network or internet connection to a distant location that is too far for Ethernet cabling. This kit includes a 2 Strand Singlemode Indoor/Outdoor Plenum Rated Pre-Terminated Fiber Optic Assembly with pulling eye on lead end of assembly, (2) Media Converters, and (2) Singlemode SFP modules. This fiber optic assembly will include LC UPC connectors that are designed to go into the SFP modules. Simply run your cable and then plug the fiber optic cables into the SFP modules that are inserted into the media converters. It's that easy. We also offer an option for extra fiber optic assemblies for longer network extensions. The extra assembly/s will come with a duplex coupler so you can couple the assemblies together.
About the Assembly:
This network extension kit includes our one-of-a-kind QuickTreX® Custom Pre-Terminated Fiber Optic Cable Assembly. For this kit we pre-make these assemblies so they are on the shelf and ready to ship. These assemblies are made in the USA and have a longstanding reputation of 25+ years for premium quality and reliability that cannot be beat. We have a strict quality control manufacturing process and are ISO 9001 certified. The assembly included in this kit follows our exact custom manufacturing process and includes premium components including Corning® glass. Your assembly will be made in the USA by highly skilled technicians under strict quality control and comes to you fully tested and ready for immediate installation.
The jacket on the fiber optic assembly included will have a plenum rated indoor/outdoor jacket. Below describes typical indoor/outdoor jacket applications:
Our Indoor/Outdoor Pre-Terminated Fiber Optic Cable Assemblies are perfect for connecting the networks of two buildings through the use of an underground conduit, headend termination to a fiber backbone, termination of fiber rack systems, multi-floor deployment where select fibers are used at each floor, or intra-building backbones. This cable is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, so there is no 50 foot fire code requirement traditionally found with outdoor (OSP) cable. This indoor/outdoor cable has a water blocking aramid yarn strength member surrounding the fiber optic strands and a UV resistant outer jacket making it a very versatile and perfect choice for a large variety of installations. This cable can be installed and left exposed in outdoor locations where blunt force or rodent chew damage is not a concern.
This indoor/outdoor network extension kit will will also include a plenum rated jacket which is perfect for installations that transition from an outdoor location such as an underground conduit, to an interior location that requires a plenum rated jacket such as ventilation shafts. A cable rated for plenum installation will have low-smoke characteristics as defined by the NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency).
