Enclosure Types
Rack Mount
Rack Mount enclosures allow your fiber optic enclosure (termination box) to be installed in a standard 19” or 23” inch network rack.
Wall Mount
These MPO cassettes will only fit SHD fiber optic enclosures and are great for high strand count installs typically seen in data centers, campuses, and other commercial settings. Note: SHD enclosures are only available in rack mount style. We offer a 5 panel (1U) and 14 panel (2U).
Heavy Duty
Our heavy-duty fiber optic enclosures (termination boxes) utilize a heavy gauge aluminum or steel black powder coated finish. These enclosures are perfect for industrial applications, built to last, and made in the USA.
Lightweight
Our lightweight fiber optic enclosures (termination boxes) utilize a 14 gauge aluminum black powder coated finish. These enclosures are perfect for high density applications and easy to handle. They are high quality and made in the USA.
Outdoor
Our outdoor enclosures can be used indoors or outdoors. They can house two fiber optic adapter panels and/or two fiber splice trays if needed. They are made of UV Stabilized Plastic and include multiple entry points at the bottom. They can be painted with latex based paint.
Chassis Types
LGX (Standard)
The LGX (Standard) chassis is designed to house LGX style fiber optic adapter panels and LGX MTP/MPO cassettes. Note: Our LGX MTP/MPO Cassettes are compatible with all LGX rack mount enclosures. They are not compatible with LGX 1 panel wall mount boxes. If you require wall mount installation, you can house 1 cassette in the LGX 2 panel wall mount box and 2 cassettes in the 4 panel LGX wall mount boxes.
SHD (Super High Density)
The SHD (Super High Density) chassis will only house our SHD MPO Cassettes and are great for high strand count installs typically seen in data centers, campuses, and other commercial settings. Note: SHD enclosures are only available in rack mount style. We offer a 5 panel (1U) and 14 panel (2U).
Panels
How many panels you will need in your fiber optic enclosure (termination box) will depend on the strand count of your backbone fiber optic assembly being installed into it. The number of panel openings will also depend on how you will configure the adapter panels that go into your box.
Note: The lowest panel count for a rack mount box is a 2 panel. This is because it only take up a 1U space, but the width of the box fits the two panels. If you only need one panel on a rack mount box, you can either leave the other slot empty, or you can add a blank adapter panel for a more complete and finished look.
Adapter Panels
Adapter Panels We offer 24 different adapter panel types for all modal types and connector types. Let’s break down how to choose the correct one:
- What type of fiber do you have: Multimode OM1 62.5/125, Multimode OM2,OM3,OM4,OM5 50/125, or Singlemode?
- What connector type do you have?
- How many strands do you have?
Note: The adapters are configured to fit within the space provided on the panel. The ST and SC connector types have a 6 adapter option where the LC connector type has a 12 adapter for it’s lowest option. This is because the LC connectors are smaller and more compact.
