The ultra rugged hermaphroditic connectors used for these assemblies are ideal for extra harsh environments seen in the following industries:  Military, Space, Audio, Broadcast, Mining, Oil, Drilling, and more.  The innovative design of the expanded beam connector allows you to deploy your fiber optic cable through the harshest environments where critical networks take place and reliability is an absolute must.

About the Neutrik FIBERFOX Expanded Beam Connector: This connector is designed according to the MIL-DTL-83526 standard and fits to all other connectors with this standard.  The expanded beam technology and precise optical alignment creates superior protection from liquids, mud, dust, dirt, and other contamination.  The FIBERFOX hermaphroditic coupling eliminates the need for adaptors and female and male mating adapters.  Another extremely important benefit of this connector is that it's extremely easy to clean unlike standard fiber optic connectors.  Due to the lens over the endface of the fiber optic strand you can easily clean this connector in the field with compressed air or just a clean lint free cloth.  For example, these connectors can be dragged through mud, quickly cleaned off with not special tools, and work perfect.

Connector Features:

  • Ultra Heavy Duty IP68 Rated (Even Unprotected)
  • No Special Cleaning Tools Needed
  • Ø = 5mm
  • PUR flame-retardant
  • Halogen-free
  • Bent Tolerant
  • Wear-free Connectors  > 10.000 mating cycles without any maintenance

Schill Reels
This tactical fiber is commonly used for deployment situations where the fiber needs to be deployed fast and reeled back up when done. This is why we recommend using one of the Schill Reel options for your tactical assembly. We have two different options depending on the length of your assembly. Please choose the correct one per the length of your fiber because each reel is sized to hold a certain length. We also have a no reel option for shorter lengths, and a basic shipping spool for situations where a deployment reel isn't needed.

Lead time: Varies usually between 3 to 5 days. Call or email Sales at 888-568-1230 option 1 for a current estimated time.
