Category 5E cable from ABA Cable which exceed the standards of ANSI/EIA/TIA 568A/B, are used on vertical cables, horizontal cables, backbone cables, patch cords, and connecting work areas. In addition to the highest standard of quality of the cable itself, the "Reelex" packaging makes it superior for added convenience and consistency.
350 MHz - Four twisted pairs of 24 AWG stranded copper conductors.
Note PVC Cables: PVC jacketed cables are used in non-plenum spaces which account for most residential and some commercial spaces (where not mandated by local building codes). See the info page Plenum Vs. Riser for more details.
Stranded Cabling Information: Stranded cable is for use in shorter runs between network interface cards (NICs) and and wallplates or between concentrators and patch panels, hubs, and other rack mounted equipment. Stranded-conductor cable is much more flexible than solid-core cable. However, attenuation is higher in stranded-conductor cable, so the total length of stranded cable in your system should be kept to a minimum to reduce signal degradation.
