Our QuickTreX® Broadcast Tactical opticalCON DUO® SMPTE Fiber Optic Assembly harnesses the power of the Neutrik® brand SMPTE connector, with SMPTE 311M broadcast tactical grade fiber to provide a superior rugged product. This assembly is designed for harsh environment and is ideal for deployment of audio and broadcast networks. These assemblies are suitable for indoor studio camera links considering specific conditions acc. to IEC 60664-1 like pollution degree 1, overvoltage category 1 and rated voltage. This SMPTE cable assembly includes 2 singlemode fibers, 4 copper pins, overall copper braided shield and stainless steel strength member. The connectors on this assembly offer a ground contact. They are suitable for indoor studio camera links and outdoor applications up to 65V.
The opticalCON DUO cable connector houses a standard optical LC-Duplex connector in a ruggedized and durable all-metal housing. A spring-loaded push-pull locking mechanism provides superior protection for the connectors, and the fiber provides excellent cable retention utilizing aramid yarn. An automatically operated sealing cover protects the connectors from all contaminants like dirt and dust.
Our Tactical and Rugged Assemblies can optionally be installed on a heavy duty Schill deployment reel, designed for quick deployment and retrieval. These Schill reels include a door which houses the connectors for safe and secure storage while not in use. This assembly is made in the USA by skilled technicians under controlled conditions, and comes to you fully tested and ready for immediate use. The test results are placed on the inside of the door.

Deployment Reels
We have six different options depending on the length of your assembly. Please choose the correct one per the length of your assembly. Each reel is sized to hold a certain length. We also have a no reel option for shorter lengths, and a basic shipping spools for situations where a deployment reel isn't needed.
