This is a plenum rated distribution type fiber with a durable jacket which provides added protection during installation. This cable is perfect for headend termination to a fiber backbone, termination of fiber rack systems, multi-floor deployment where select fibers are used at each floor, or intra-building backbones. It is suitable for all indoor applications where fiber optic cabling is needed. It utilizes 900µm Tight Buffers, Aramid yarn strength members, and exclusive use of Corning® optical fibers. This cable is rated for all indoor installations, including plenum rated spaces and will have low-smoke characteristics as defined by the NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency).

Will this cable work 100GB data if we use US Conec MTP connectors? The description indicates this 12-fiber cable is capable for 100GB data. Thanks

Yes this assembly will work with 100GB data as long as you’re using the right 100G optics. The most common being 100GBASE-SR4 (multimode “SR4”) is the typical 100G standard that uses MPO/MTP. SR4 uses 8 fibers total (4 Tx + 4 Rx) even though the connector is often MPO-12. On OM4, SR4 is typically rated up to 100 meters (OM3 is typically 70 m). Since this cable is OM4 and 12 fibers, it’s a good match for MTP/MPO-12 trunking for SR4 (with 4 fibers unused).
