Indoor - Custom USA Made (Plenum)

Our custom indoor fiber optic patch patch cables include a 2mm plenum (OFNP) jacket, Corning® Glass, and are made in the USA by highly trained technicians. They are perfect for critical networks. Since these cables are custom made to order we can manufacture them in any length from 6 inches to 30 meters and in the following colors: Orange, Red, Yellow, Green, Aqua, Blue, Purple Grey, Black, White, Brown, and Pink. We can also manufacture with any connector type (LC, SC, ST, FC, MTRJ) and polish option (PC, UPC, and APC). The test results for each patch cable will include the part number, the serial number, and the connector type for each end, the glass size, the cable length, the strand #, the test result, and the cable tester’s initials. The test result will be printed on a self-adhesive label and fastened to the outside of the bag. Each cable will include a label around the jacket for identification purposes. The label text includes the QuickTreX cable part#, a serialized number, and is placed 4” behind the boot.

Indoor - Stock (Riser)

Our stock fiber optic patch cables typically ship same day and offer a perfect balance of quality and price. These patch cables include a riser rated and/or LSZH jacket and also include test results. The jacket color will always match the fiber type. OM1 & OM2 = Orange, OM3 & 4 = Aqua, OM5 = Lime Green, and Singlemode = Yellow. We offer a full array of fiber type and connector type.

Indoor Armored - Custom USA Made (Plenum)

Our custom indoor armored fiber optic patch patch cables include a 3mm plenum (OFCP) jacket with both strands inside one jacket, fully stainless steel armor straight up to the connector, and are made in the USA by highly trained technicians. They are perfect for critical networks that need crush resistance and/or protection from rodents. Since these cables are custom made to order we can manufacture them in any length from 1- 30 meters. We can also manufacture with any connector type (LC, SC, ST, and FC) and polish option (PC, UPC, and APC). The test results for each patch cable will include the part number, the serial number, and the connector type for each end, the glass size, the cable length, the strand #, the test result, and the cable tester’s initials. The test result will be printed on a self-adhesive label and fastened to the outside of the bag. One wrap around label is attached to each fiber patch cable. Our armored stock fiber optic patch cables typically ship same day and offer a perfect balance of quality and price. These patch cables include a riser rated and/or LSZH jacket and also include test results. They are perfect for installs that need extra protection such as indoor hazardous areas, including environments with excessive dust, oil, gas, moisture, or even damage-causing rodents.

Indoor - Custom LED Self Tracing (LSZH)

Our custom indoor LED Self Tracing fiber optic patch patch cables include a 3mm low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacket with both strands inside one jacket, uniboot connectors, and are made in the USA by highly trained technicians. They are perfect for high density critical networks in which cable tracing is critical and needs to be done fast. These cables come equipped with a trace button on both ends of your plug. When pushed it activates lights in both ends of the cable. The LED blinks for 20 seconds and can be stopped at anytime by pressing the button again. Since these cables are custom made to order we can manufacture them in any length from 1- 30 meters. Due to the highly specialized nature of this cable, it's only offered in LC Uniboot construction. The test results for each patch cable will include the part number, the serial number, and the connector type for each end, the glass size, the cable length, the strand #, the test result, and the cable tester’s initials. The test result will be printed on a self-adhesive label and fastened to the outside of the bag. One wrap around label is attached to each fiber patch cable. Each cable will include a label around the jacket for identification purposes. The label text includes the QuickTreX cable part#, a serialized number, and is placed 4” behind the boot.

Connector Types

LC

The LC fiber optic connector is a small form factor connector that snaps in. It includes a 1.25 mm ceramic ferrule. The LC connector is very popular and offers great performance for high density or compact areas. Most SFP modules accept LC connectors.

SC

The SC fiber optic connector is a snap-in connector that latches with a push-pull motion. It includes a 2.5 mm ceramic ferrule. This connector and is commonly used because it provides excellent performance. Many media converters accept SC connectors.

ST

The ST fiber optic connector is typically metallic and utilizes a spring-loaded twist and lock style connection with a bayonet mount. It includes a 2.5 mm ferrule that is usually ceramic but can also be polymer. Many media converters accept ST connectors.

FC

The FC fiber optic connector is a metallic connector that is threaded and screws on. It includes a 2.5 mm ceramic ferrule. It’s been mostly phased out but is still sometimes used is applications where vibration and movement can become an issue.

MTRJ

MT-RJ is a duplex connector with both fibers in a single polymer ferrule. It uses pins for alignment and has male and female versions. Multimode only, field terminated only by pre-polished/splice method.

Duplex

Includes a Clip that holds the 2 simplex connectors together (can be removed to switch polarity)

Typically used only with singemode fiber when using bi-directional devices

Uniboot (Duplex)

The LC-LC uniboot design allows one cable to carry both fibers, reducing cable congestion when routing.

Uniboot Pull-Push Tab (Duplex)

The LC-LC uniboot design allows one cable to carry both fibers, reducing cable congestion and the pull-push connector promotes easy insertion and removal on high density applications.


Connector Polish Options

In Singlemode fiber, our ST and MTRJ connectors are available in an upgraded UPC polish option, and our LC, SC, and FC are available in both UPC and APC polish. APC connectors feature a fiber end face that is polished at an 8-degree angle, while UPC connectors have a slight curvature for better core alignment. The different polish options help with improving return loss, which is a measurement of reflected light.

Tech Tip: Because the APC polish makes the connectors end face angled, you must continue to use APC components throughout the link for better alignment. So, an APC connector should work with equipment that specifies APC, and any adapter panels and patch cords should also be APC.
